A month on the Road

It started with a retreat with Workers from Central Asia.  The Workers left their host country and met in a major city for a time of worship and training.

A team from our church kept things exciting for their kids while they met (lots of fun activities and outings). We also spent time getting to know them – sharing meals, breaks, and evening activities.

We all made new friends as we served these frontline Workers and their TCKs (Third Culture Kids). We met in a great place, an easy place. But these folks live in very difficult places – because they believe the people in their host country need the Gospel — and the Gospel changes everything.

Spending time with Workers like these is challenging, humbling and rewarding. It was a time to examine our lives as we considered how they responded to the call to follow Christ.

It begs the question:  “What do I need to lay down as I follow Christ?”

God adjusted our plan

We planned to go to two other countries. But right before we left, one of the countries on our itinerary experienced riots and political unrest. It looked like we might be cutting our trip short and returning two weeks early.

But God surprised us by putting 3 more opportunities in our path.  Our itinerary filled in completely and we stayed busy visiting with Workers and National Partners in places we had not planned to go.

Summary

  • We interacted with almost 40 Workers

  • Met 25+  TCKs (3rd Culture Kids) along the way

This ministry is possible because of your prayers and generous support. We thank God for your partnership in the Gospel.
