Prayer Requests from the Field (February 2022)

We often post Prayer Requests from the field on the @EncourageGlobal site on   Facebook.

Some prefer to see the requests online like this.  Here are some recent requests the we have received from Workers on the Field:

  • Central Asia:  K* and K*
    • K*  & K* were forced to leave their country in mid-August.
      • They went to TX to wait on  their next assignment.
      • K’s mother died during their time in TX and they were able to help his father.
      • Following her death, they received a new Field assignment.
    • They arrived in their new country at the end of January.
      • They request prayer for new relationships and ministry direction.
  • Northern Africa: Charlie* and Dana* have their team in a nearby country.
    • Because of civil war, their team is required to live in a nearby country.
    • They have been in the States for medical reasons.  They are packing now to return soon.
    • Pray for this team as they share Christ with refugees who have also fled from the Civil War.
    • Pray for new relief projects that are being launched.
  • Middle East:  Tony* and Ziva*
    • They continue working on family issues related to the estate (it’s hard to do from overseas).
    • Pray for them as they wrap up one ministry assignment and begin a new assignment.
      • They moved to another city at the end of last year.
      • They will be serving all of the Workers in their country.
  • SE Asia: Jerry* and Nina* (and 3 kids)
    • They have been in the States visiting family. Their kids have seen snow for the first time. Exciting.
    • They are preparing to return to their Field.
      • Pray for negative Covid tests.
      • Pray for logistics as they return.
    • Continue to pray for 2 National Partners – they Work in two different Fields (2 religious backgrounds, 2 languages, etc.).
      • Jerry* ask that we continue praying  for his Partners: Mr. Not* and Mr. S*
      • Pray for the many people who still need to hear of Christ — for first time.
  • Central Asia: Justin* and Cathy*
    • They were able to be with their sons over Christmas- now 1 back to Boarding School (Europe) the other College in the States.
    • Recently they were able to visit the old Field (still in conflict).
    • They are praying about ways to work short-term there — while working with refugees in their present host country.
    • Praying God will direct them during this time of feeling displaced.
  • SE Asia: Rod*
    • Diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer.
    • Surgery this month at MD Anderson (Houston).
    • Praying for surgery and recovery.
    • Praying for church back in SE Asia.
  • SE Asia: Stan* and Sandy*
    • They are still in the States- hoping to return to the Field this summer.
    • Their middle School daughter had a special medical need — had to postpone returning to the Field.
      • Continue to pray for them as she gets medical attention and counseling.
      • Daughter is making great progress.
    • Pray for Work on the Field.  There is an  incredible Gospel movement taking place on their Field and they long to be there to Work.  They have no doubts that God directed them to get help for their daughter – but they want to be available to serve the Field long -distance, as appropriate.
